Mercedes-Benz has announced that it has given its electric EQS model a bit of an update. Not only will this see the car feature a new radiator design, better rear-seat comfort options, broader brake disc maintenance, and a few other less exciting elements, but it will also now feature a standing star logo (and not one embedded into the chassis) and also an even longer range.

Mercedes has stated that the EV model, which already boasts the longest range out of any EV it produces, will be supported by an even larger battery that will deliver a further 82 kilometres of range, pushing the car to a total range that surpasses the 800-kilometre marker. It will do this by improving its battery size from 108.4 kWh to 118 kWh, and matching this up with an efficiency claimed to be 19.9 - 16.3 kWh/100 km.

This updated model will debut on roads later this year.
