Renault has revealed the next car that will be making up its electric vehicle fleet. Set to be known as the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric, this car is an EV spin on the existing model and features a smaller chassis that is said to be less than four metres in length and less than 1,500 kg in weight.
The car will be available in two battery and two powertrain formats, with these being a 40 kWh and a 52 kWh version, and a 90kW/120hp and a 110 kW/150hp model. Both batteries will allow for fast-charging of up to 11kW AC and 100kW DC and can achieve 80% charge in just 30 minutes.
The EV also brings what Renault is describing as a modern lighting effort with a "cheeky welcome and goodbye sequences", while the car comes in either Pop Yellow or Pop Green colours. Three trim levels will also be offered, with these being either Evolution, Techno, or Iconic Five.
As for when the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric is slated to arrive, deliveries are planned for Q1 2025, and further specifications and price points will be announced in the future.
