We don't see many all-electric hypercars, likely due to the fact that electric and battery technology has been unable for the most part to support both a decent range and immense performance. That hasn't stopped the Barcelona-based Hispano Suiza however, as now the company has shown off the first glimpse at its upcoming third all-electric hypercar.

Set to be unveiled in full in the summer, the news comes as the company is celebrating its 120th anniversary. The car, known as the Carmen Sagrera is said to feature a "rear end dominated by a large exposed carbon fibre spoiler," all to give it a sportier look without compromising of the "hyperlux philosophy" the company is known for.

The Carmen Sagrera will be powered by a monster 103 kW battery, but even with that under the hood, it's unclear what kind of performance and range it will offer in practice. Considering combustion engine hypercars are the opposite of efficient, it's probably fair to assume that this all-electric hypercar won't be the most efficient vehicle on the market either.
