Electric scooter manufacturer Gogoro has lifted the curtain on its new flagship smartscooter. Known as the Pulse, the scooter is said to be able to operate on "unprecedented levels of acceleration and speed", all thanks to a new aerodynamic design and hyperdrive powertrain.

Gogoro notes that the Pulse is able to achieve the whopping 0-50 km/h acceleration of 3.05 seconds, all while having a maximum RPM of 11,000 and 378 nm of torque at its rear wheel. As for the power the electric motor offers, this is said to be 9.0 kW.

The aerodynamic redesign has been offered in such a way that it reduces drag and promotes airflow cooling on the electric motor. This is claimed to make the Pulse the most efficient smartscooter from Gogoro yet.

Otherwise the scooter also uses an adaptive LED lighting system that adjusts as the rider increases speed and turns, and even alters to fit changing weather conditions. The scooter also has a smart cockpit that includes a 10.25-inch panoramic HD touch display that can display navigation and traffic information, as well as tweak the scooter's ride mode to fit the terrain it's traversing.

The Pulse will offer Apple Wallet and Find My integration, meaning you won't need to carry a physical key to unlock the scooter, and can use your phone if you forgot where you parked it.

As for the release plans for the Pulse, no word on pricing has been mentioned as of yet, but shipping is expected to start in late Q2 2024 for those in Taiwan.
