It was only last week that we reported on the news that Volkswagen will be incorporating ChatGPT into its vehicles going forward. Well, to add to that, Skoda is also getting in on this action, and bringing ChatGPT to its cars in the near future.
The integration will see the current voice assistant Laura enhanced with ChatGPT's offerings. This will include accessing an AI database to have content read out as you drive, all while keeping tabs and informing the driver about different car information and data, and controlling different car systems like air conditioning.
Skoda has affirmed that personal and vehicle data will be protected regardless of this integration, meaning while ChatGPT will help you keep tabs on your car, it won't use the data for its own benefit.
The ChatGPT integration is set to be offered from mid-2024, and will be available for Skoda models in the MEB GP and MQB EVO platforms.
