Kia has made its presence known at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, by attending the major technology conference and showing off a bunch of new electric vehicles that it has in development. All of these new cars are part of the PV family and come in different shapes and sizes with the intention that each is meant to serve a unique purpose.
The smallest of the bunch is known as the PV1, and is designed to handle short-distance trips and is being described as a competitor to small city cars.
The PV5 is a more customisable vehicle that can come in one of three variants: Basic, High Roof, and Van. This EV is looking to be the most popular of the bunch, and is supposed to have dimensions and a size that is similar to a typical van.
Last of all is the heavy-duty model known as the PV7. This boasts the longest driving range as well as having the most space to store items and whatever you may need to carry within it. It's looking to be longer than the PV5 but around the same height as the middle model.
Each of the cars are slated to enter production and start debuting around the world as soon as next year.
As for those wondering what PV actually stands for, it's said to mean Platform Beyond Vehicle, and will serve as the basis for Kia's new modular vehicle strategy going forward.
