Cold Iron Studios has announced that while it will continue to support Aliens: Fireteam Elite going forward, the development team is now mainly moving on to work on its next title. As per a statement shared on X, Cold Iron specifically notes:
"We are in full development on a new title. Building on the success of Aliens: Fireteam Elite, Cold Iron is hard at work making a new experience for fans to sink their teeth into. More updates will be coming as development is further along."
For the Aliens: Fireteam Elite fans out there wondering what this means for the current game, Cold Iron has stated that it's committed to continue providing supportive and bug fix updates, including one that is going live today and bringing matchmaking improvements and updates to Synths, Alpha, and Beta.
Also, Cold Iron has revealed that there have been some changes at an executive level across the developer, and that Elena Siegman will be taking over as the new studio head with Kendall Davis being the creative lead.
