While electric cars are becoming increasingly common, electric bikes are less so. But this isn't changing the fact that many motorcycle manufacturers have been created and developing e-motorbikes, including Harley Davidson and Kawasaki, who has now announced the prices for its first foray into this space.

Known as the Kawasaki Ninja e-1 and the Ninja Z e-1, these two bikes are now ready to order in the US and the UK, and as for their pricing, the bikes will clock in at $7,599 for the e-1 and $7,299 for the Z e-1.

The bikes are both powered by a 5 kW electric motor that can be used in a limited Eco mode or a more 'fun' Road mode. The catch is that neither bike is much of a performance powerhouse like some of the regular combustion engine Ninja bikes, as the max speed the electric versions will be able to achieve is 65 mph when in Road mode and when using a boost feature.

As for the range of these bikes, it's said to be around 41 miles when in Road mode, with the ability to charge the battery from 20-80% in under two hours.
