Mini has lifted the curtain on an array of new cars and models that it will be debuting from next year. Leading the fray is a new line of EV models, with one being an all-electric variant of the Countryman that is said to be geared toward "urban driving fun", and another being a Cooper EV.

It's noted that this Countryman EV model will feature a 150 kW/204 horsepower engine that can go from 0-100 km/h in 8.6 seconds. It's also said to be able to clock in a range of 462 kilometres on one charge, all while having a new body shape that is aimed to appeal to the "rugged Mini adventurer."

As for the Cooper EV, this will feature a 135 kW/184 horsepower engine that can do 0-100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. The car is also aiming to offer a range of 402 kilometres on one charge, and like the Countryman, will feature a slight appearance adjustment, as well as coming in both three and five door variants.

Both EV models also feature a slate of modern new features too, including an advanced operating system, an improved round OLED display, and the elimination of a gearshift, meaning these cars will be automatic only - as will all future Minis unfortunately.

In terms of the release plans for these cars, Mini is aiming to see them on roads in 2024.
