If you ever had doubts that Rolls-Royce was the pinnacle of automotive luxury, the latest car unveiled by the company will look to rectify that. Known as the Amethyst Droptail, this car has been commissioned for a client and has been named and inspired by the birthstone of the client's son.
The car features a veneer aft deck at its rear that is described as the largest wood surface ever produced by Rolls-Royce. To add to this, there are actual amethyst gems incorporated into the interior and exterior of the car, all while the car is painted in a colour that reflects the precious stone.
There is no mention of the specifics of the car, but we do know that it is built on the Droptail archetype and that this is one of four unique expressions of the model. In terms of pricing, that has also not been alluded to, but considering its very lucrative nature we can assume it is a very expensive vehicle.
