Lotus was once a very iconic automotive brand, but then after years (or rather decades) of lacklustre vehicles, the car company fell off the radar. The electric vehicle movement has been fortunate for Lotus, as it has announced and designed a collection of vehicles that are drawing people back to the brand, and this is proven by its latest financial information.
Lotus has stated that it has had its best opening half of the year on record, all thanks to the mega numbers of electric vehicles that have been ordered. Specifically, Lotus notes that 17,000 Eletre SUVs and Emira sports cars have been ordered, which in total amounts to a 381% increase in Emira orders, seeing the car completely out of stock for the next two years.
The car company also adds that Eletre orders will be starting later this summer for the UK and Europe.
