Caterham has officially lifted the curtain on its all-electric coupe concept car, the Project V. Designed to be lightweight, fast, and quick to charge, the car could make its full debut on roads as soon as late 2025 or early 2026.

The Project V will be powered by a 200kW single motor electric powertrain that has been combined with a 44kWh USOC lithium-ion battery pack that is said to be able to be charged from 20-80% in 15 minutes using a 150kW DC charger.

As for what the car can do in practice, Caterham mentions that the Project V can achieve 0-62 mph in less than 4.5 seconds and that it will have an estimated top speed of around 143 mph, all while offering a range of 249 miles on one charge.

As Caterham is a racing brand, the Project V is said to weigh as little as 1,190 kg when in its 2+1 seat configuration - although it will be heavier when set to its 2+2 seat layout.

Since this is a concept car, there is no mention of price or a release date, but we are told that the car will be making its physical debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed today, July 13.
