While it seems like the supercar space isn't quite ready to make the leap to all-electric just yet, Mercedes-Benz is preparing to make that incoming leap. The German car titan has now unveiled the futuristic-looking yet retro-inspired Vision One-Eleven concept car, which features gullwing doors and is modelled after the C111 from the 60s and 70s.
The car, which features an all-electric powertrain also offers a collection of futuristic elements including an interior that is described as the first sports car to adapt to a lounge concept. It also combines analogue and digital technology to create a retro-futuristic pixel-look, and uses augmented reality to offer a unique user experience.
As this is currently a concept car, there is no mention of when (if ever) Mercedes-Benz will actually launch the car. But if it does never make it to market, it's definitely striking enough to be poster material for the future.
