The Texas based developer id Software is mainly known for graphic heavy action titles like Wolfenstein, Doom, and Quake - and not necessarily for games with a lot of vehicles in them. They also did Rage though, which is more or less build with vehicles as an integral part of the gameplay.

While it's not known what the studio is currently working on, many people seems to think it will be some sort of continuation Doom Eternal that launched 2020. While this is still a possibility, a new job listing makes us think it's more likely the studio has returned to the Rage franchise or is doing something brand new.

More specifically, id Software is currently looking for a Senior Weapon/Prop Artist, who will help them "set visual bar for industry leading Weapons, Vehicles, Props". Exactly how big role these vehicles have in id Software's next title is of course unknown, but as they need to be "industry leading", we believe it probably will be something prominent.
