While Sebastian Vettel isn't behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car this year, after retiring at the end of the season, the four-time champion will be suiting up and taking a couple of classic F1 cars that he owns to the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed this year. But Vettel won't just be driving these cars, he'll also be using them as an example for what environmentally-friendly fuels can do in this modern era of motorsport, as he will be solely running on sustainable fuels.

As noted in a blog post, Vettel will be bringing Nigel Mansell's Williams FW14B and Aryton Senna's McLaren MP4/8 to the festival, and running both on sustainable fuels. There is no word on what fuels he will be using, but they should be far better for the environment than what is used in motorsport elsewhere around the world.

"It's great to be coming back to Goodwood after all these years. I can't wait to get behind the wheel of some of my most memorable cars which will be running on sustainable fuel over the weekend," said Vettel. "I'm a passionate racer and it's important to me that we continue to enjoy driving iconic racing cars today and in the future, but that we do so in a responsible way."

This year's Festival of Speed is being held between July 13 through July 16, with Vettel only appearing on the weekend slots.
