The car manufacturer, Alpine, has begun to tease its first all-electric hot hatchback. Set to be known as the A290_β, the car will be fully unveiled in a couple of weeks during a stream held on May 9 at 21:30 BST / 22:30 CEST.
But ahead of that full reveal, Alpine has shared a few extra bits of information about the car, including it will be the first addition to the "Dream Garage", which will signify a new era for Alpine as a brand.
Otherwise Alpine notes that the car's name signifies different aspects of its design. 2 refers to the size of the car (which likely means it will be a two-door), 90 relates to Alpine's "multi-purpose sports vehicles", and the beta symbol refers to this being a beta version of the car, ahead of its full road launch in 2024.
Those who attend the Baku Grand Prix this weekend have a chance to win an invitation to the reveal of the car, by capturing the QR code that will be placed on Alpine's F1 car this weekend.
