As we reported on a few days ago, Polestar has now officially lifted the curtain on its next electric vehicle. Known as the Polestar 4, this car is an SUV that is designed to be positioned between the Polestar 2 and 3 in terms of price and size, and will be the fastest Polestar to date.

The car will have a maximum output of 544 bhp, which will allow it to achieve 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, alongside coming in two variants, a single and a dual engine version. It will be fitted with a 102 kWh battery that is designed to offer a 560 km range.

In terms of technology within, the Polestar 4's infotainment suite will be powered by Android's Automotive OS and the Snapdragon Cockpit Platform. Google Assistant, Maps, and Play will all be supported as well, as will a Harmon Kardon audio suite that ranges 12 speakers around the car. Apple CarPlay will also be available.

One of the strangest parts of the car however is the fact that it doesn't actually have a rear window, as Polestar has instead introduced a "new kind of immersive rear occupant experience" that sees the glass roof being extended beyond the rear occupants' heads.

As for when the Polestar 4 will debut, the car is slated to launch first in China in November 2023, with a full-scale launch planned for early 2024.
