Ubisoft has announced Far Cry 4 will release on November 21 on PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. The title's being developed by Ubisoft Montreal, but as is increasingly expected of the company's bigger projects, is also roping in other studios - Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Toronto, Ubisoft Shanghai, and Ubisoft Kiev - to create the title.
It's still open world, its still first-person, this time shipping us off to Kyrat - "a breathtaking, perilous and wild region of the Himalayas struggling under the regime of a despotic self-appointed king", according to the press release. Confirmed for the sequel? Weapons, vehicles and animals. So, same classic Far Cry elements then.
Interestingly, the company flags a pre-order DLC bonus of three single player missions revolving around Far Cry 3's Hurk character. Ubisoft's tagline sounds enticing "eliminate your enemies with a badass harpoon gun" - check out the imagery below.
The game's to be part of the company's E3 plans; expect at the very least a trailer and a gameplay demo.
