Another group of Triple-A industry veterans have pulled together to form a new indie-focused studio.

This time the talent includes, amongst others, Tomb Raider creator Toby Gard, creative director of Spec Ops: The Line Cory Davis and former senior artist at Respawn Entertainment Rich Smith, to form the 15-strong team.

The group state they "have returned from their journeys in the land of AAA game development, to combine their experiences into a powerful ancient brew of experiential game design" - the group originally came together to work on Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, and stayed together to form this new start-up.

"I think most of the creative people in the industry have great ideas that they truly want to come to fruition one day, ideas that are not possible to develop in a AAA environment," said Smith, in an interview with GameSpot. "Those ideas are typically the ones that push the industry forward, and prove what can be accomplished when that creativity is not stifled by group or marketing think."

The studio are looking to both publisher and Kickstarter support as they build their first tile - a "surreal horror trip" currently codenamed Daedalus.
