Modern Warfare's Gunfight getting 1v1 and 3v3 modes
Infinity Ward's Joe Cecot spilled the beans on Twitter, as they're expanding the 2v2 close-quarters mode.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was released back in October with several new features, including a 2v2 Gunfight mode taking place in much smaller maps. With random weapons and tight arenas to battle in, this is a definite change of pace from the usual Call of Duty formula, and it looks to be getting expanded too.
When asked about 3v3 potentially coming to Gunfight in the future, Infinity Ward's co-design director of multiplayer Joe Cecot said that "at some point, also 1v1!", so it won't just be duos battling it out in the close-quarters mode, it seems.
We didn't get any other news like a timeframe or anything like that, but it sounds pretty definite that it's coming, but let's not forget that Season 1 is coming as a free content update tomorrow, adding plenty of new features to the game as well.
