Crackdown 3 is coming this Friday at long last, but it's not just a bombastic campaign that you can expect on February 15, as the multiplayer mode called Wrecking Zone is also launching to bring unlimited destruction built around cloud technology, as we talked about in our recent preview.

But can you party up with your friends in this mode at launch? This is a question posed to Senior Creative Director Joseph Staten on Twitter, who responded saying: "Not for day one, no. Stay tuned for updates on our plans post-launch." He also added that he'd love for this to happen, after the same fan said he'd enjoy being able to squad up with friends.

As expected, some of the responses to this move were less than positive, since in 2019 it's unusual not to be able to squad up with friends in a multiplayer experience, and with the rise of other competitors like Apex Legends, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and Fortnite, it needs to stay competitive.

Does this affect your choice of purchase? If you're still on the fence be sure to check out our gameplay below, both of Wrecking Zone and campaign.
