Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair

Yooka-Laylee trailer shows The Impossible Lair's altered stages

20 levels become 40 in Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, the upcoming sequel from Playtonic and Team 17.

We got to try out the new Yooka-Laylee game at E3 just last month, and now we're getting another look at Playtonic's second game in the burgeoning series via a new trailer that shows off the game's clever party trick.

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is launching at the end of this year, and when it lands it'll task players with exploring 20 levels in search of Queen Phoebee's Royal Beettalion, saving them from Capital B. The trick is that at some point in each level, there will be something that can be activated that will change the dynamic of the level and basically alter the way it plays, making 20 levels into 40 according to the developer.

Check it out the trailer below to see the new feature in action.
