Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair unveiled

The lizard/bat duo have teamed up for another adventure, and we're promised more details next week during E3.

Team 17 and Playtonic Games have partnered up to reveal a brand new game called Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, following on from Yooka-Laylee's first outing as a duo in 2017, except this time it's a 2.5D platformer and less of a 3D platformer that we first saw.

The art style is very much the same with this sequel, requiring you to defeat enemies, platform, and solve puzzles, and the pair must rescue Queen Phoebee's Royal Beettalion Guard from each level. Capital B returns here too, challenging us with the Impossible Lair.

More details are due to be revealed next week to coincide with E3, but we already know that the game is coming to PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with a boxed console version also planned. We've even got a trailer to enjoy as well, and for more on the game head to the Steam page.

Are you pleased to see this dynamic duo return?
