Sega has announced that their Japanese mobster saga Yakuza has sold more than 5 million copies to date. The milestone was reached thanks to strong opening sales for the latest addition to the series - Yakuza of the End - that has sold 400,000 copies in its first two weeks in Japan.

While Yakuza of the End hasn't been able to sell quite as well as Yakuza 3 and 4 did in their opening weeks, it's still a good number, especially considering the spin-off nature of Yakuza of the End.

Instead of fighting criminals in Tokyo's seedy underbelly you are fighting off a zombie infestation. Currently there is no release date set for Yakuza of the End in Europe or North America.
