Yakuza 0 coming to Europe next year

Sega has today confirmed that the long-awaited prequel to the Yakuza series will be launching in Europe.

Yakuza 0 is the story of Kazuma Kiryu's ascension into the ranks of the Yakuza. Newcomers will be able to experience the Yakuza adventure from the beginning while returning fans will be able to play as returning NPC Majima Goro, which will provide alternate insight into the story.

Sega says that Yakuza 0 will include combat ability hot swapping to create "some of the most intense battles in the Yakuza series". The game is set in "the decadence of 1980s Japan" experience Japan's Disco Halls and Pocket Circuit car races, the player will supposedly have a million ways to spend, make, or take money.

Yakuza 0 will release with a Japanese voice over and English only subtitles on PlayStation 4 in Early 2017. You can find more information over on the website.
