Xenoblade Chronicles X was one of the standout games of 2015, but due to the limited number of people playing on Wii U, it didn't get the audience it undoubtedly deserved. A Switch port might well address this borderline criminal situation, and that's something that Monolith's Tetsuya Takahashi would like to think about in due course.

Speaking to Time, Takahashi-san has indicated his willingness to bring the game to Nintendo's in vogue hybrid console, but only after the studio has finished working on its current project, Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

"I think we're currently completely focused on creating Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and even after I go back to Japan, I have a mountain of tasks that I need to overcome. But I would love to think about it, after the development for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is completed," he said.

As you can read in our review, it would be a fine game to port over to the Nintendo Switch. With Xenoblade Chronicles 2 heading to the platform hopefully later this year, we might not have too long to wait for a ported version of Xenoblade Chronicles X.

"There's so much to do that we often forget that the future of humanity is in our hands... Time flies when you're having this much fun."
