As reported by GamesIndustry, Microsoft's Xbox Scorpio is getting a mixed reality support in 2018. This was announced at GDC by principal group program manager Brandon Bray.

He also revealed Windows Mixed Reality program, and the Acer Windows Mixed Reality Development Edition headset. The headset is supposed to have an easy plug-and-play setup, and it does not need external trackers or sensors. It was also noted that the "Acer edition features two high-resolution liquid crystal displays at 1440 x 1440 resolution with a refresh rate up to 90 Hz (native), along with built-in audio out and microphone support and a single cable with HDMI 2.0 (display) and USB 3.0 (data) for connectivity".

It's an interesting development as it shows that the Windows Mixed Reality concept isn't limited to the HoloLens. While it was confirmed that Windows Mixed Reality is coming to the Xbox One family of consoles next year, it is safe to assume that means Project Scorpio, but perhaps that could also include older models potentially.
