During last weekend's QuakeCon both 2016's Doom and 2011's Rage were announced for and released on the Xbox Game Pass subscription service, and thus made available to its users on Xbox One. Both come well in time for shooter fans to get ready for their respective sequels, Doom Eternal and Rage 2, which will both release in 2019 and of course got the spotlight in Texas.

Direct, fast, and impactful gunplay (especially with the shotgun) are trademarks of id shooters, and both games are highly recommendable (with Doom of course aging better as it's just two years old).

Will you revisit or visit them for the first time now on Game Pass?

REVIEW. Written by David Selnes

"This is a great port, despite all the visual sacrifices."

REVIEW. Written by Kim Orremark & Mike Holmes

"It's fast, intense, stylish, and bloody. It feels old without feeling outdated, and the pace of combat means that you'll want to play on for just a little longer."
