World of Warcraft: Legion

WoW's game director leaves the series

Legion was his last project, but he stays with Blizzard.

Tom Chilton has been game director at the Word of Warcraft series for a while, but now he's stated that his work there is done. He'll still be employed by Blizzard, but he will be working on some other projects instead, with his successor being Ion Hazzikostas:

"My personal journey working on WoW as Game Director is at an end," he said, "but my journey with Blizzard isn't. I'll still be here, but will be focusing on another project within the company. However, it's with great pleasure that I announce Ion Hazzikostas will be taking my place as Game Director for World of Warcraft."

World of Warcraft: Legion will therefore be the last expansion with him as boss, and as you can read in our review it was a more than worthy send off. Will you miss Chilton? Is Legion the best send off he could give?
