Arena combat in World of Warcraft has always been a little divisive. Some hate the fact that it's limited to two or three opponents, while others love the gladiatorial combat. The latter will be in the spotlight very soon, as the final of the European Arena Championship, and thus the highlight of the season for many, will be played at Gamescom, with several thousand fans attending.

From August 23rd to the 26th, the twelve best teams in Europe will be able to enjoy Cologne and win the biggest share of the $100,000 prize pool.

Among the competitors are obviously big names in the esports scene for World of Warcraft, including Method, who in addition to being the first team to complete update 7.2 and defeat Kil'Jaeden, can boast a very solid team of world champions (2015 and 2016).

Enjoy Legion team will also be there, as well as the "old men" of the scene, Northern Gaming Blue. And finally, newcomers Rockets might well surprise a few people!

It should be noted that the four best teams in this European Championship final will automatically win their tickets to the World Championship Final at Blizzcon in November, where they will be able to compete with North American and Asian teams.
