Taito is back on consoles. The Ninja Saviors - Return of the Warriors, which was released in August on PS4 and Nintendo Switch, was the first step back for an old brand (owned nowadays by Square Enix). Now a second game has just landed on the Nintendo Switch eShop and also in physical stores, and it's none other than is Bubble Bobble 4 Friends.

Bub, Bob and up to four players will face 100 new stages recreated with modern graphics, including final bosses and some new mechanics and special skills. The basics are intact, the rhythm is different though. However, if you really miss the old Bubble Bobble from the 8-bit days, it's also included as part of the game in the form of a retro arcade machine. Take a look at both game modes below.

REVIEW. Written by Mikael Sundberg

"At its core, it's an okay party platformer, but the limited number of levels makes the game feel stagnant after a while."
