It's been nearly three years since Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi revealed Wattam at the first PlayStation Experience. We only got a short teaser back then, and had to wait six more months to finally see some gameplay. Unfortunately, that was pretty much all we got from the game, as the project suddenly disappeared from the radar, and Sony said they wouldn't publish the game anymore. Many thought that this marked the end of it, but it has only been waiting in the shadows.
Annapurna Interactive has announced that they're taking over as publisher, and that the game will be shown off during PAX this weekend. Takahashi and Funomena are still the ones developing the game, and assure us that it has come a long way since the last time we saw it. We're told that has gotten quite a lot bigger, so it'll be interesting to see how it looks now, and you can get a taste of what awaits in the first trailer below, while the second trailer shows how it looked back in 2015.
Have you missed this game?
