As Deep Silver decided to push Dead Island 2 from its planned spring release, they replaced it with Dead Island Definitive Collection. The collection will include both Dead Island, Dead Island: Riptide, and a new game called Dead Island Retro Revenge.
Deep Silver describes the game as a "brand new stand-alone 16-bit game set in the style of a classic side-scrolling action/endless runner within the Dead Island universe." Not exactly what you'd expect from a game in this particular series, which may be part of the reason why it isn't shown in this text-heavy trailer.
Dead Island Definitive Collection will launch on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 31.
