Yesterday saw the closure of the servers for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning a sad day for those who have been playing since release more than five years ago.
The reason behind the shutdown is that EA's licence with Games Workshop has run out, and Sega are now the holders of the licence as they've tasked The Creative Assembly with creating a game based on Warhammer.
Shortly after its premiere the game sported 750,000 subscribers, but that number quickly fell to half of that six months later.
