Wargaming officially launches its UK studio

There are big plans to expand over the next year, and Wargaming UK is already hard at work on a new IP.

Wargaming, developer and publisher of World of Tanks, has officially launched Wargaming UK this week by opening their new studio, and it's already working on a brand-new IP with the "veteran team" at their disposal.

Studio Head Sean Decker has big plans for the next year, as he wants to double the staff number of 60:

"We are in a unique position - we have the backing of a global company, AND we have autonomy over our own creative direction - it's really exciting. We are proud to be a part of Wargaming's enduring legacy, as well as its reputation as a great company to work for. We want to continue building this quality across our UK team, with 30 positions currently open for application. We really believe that we can be the best place to make games in the UK."

"For Wargaming, the UK studio is a really exciting step in our expansion - and we are looking forward to releasing information on their new project. It is going to be big. It was a pleasure to celebrate with the team, and we are looking forward to watching them create something special," adds Wargaming CEO Victor Kislyi.
