Warframe landing on the Switch on November 20

With motion controls and its own voice chat system.

Digital Extremes has just announced that Warframe is coming to Nintendo Switch next Tuesday, November 20, including all 23 big updates, 3 cinematic quests, and 36 Warframes. Everything up to the Mask of the Revenant update will be there, with the expansion world Fortuna and the new robot Garuda being available soon. Digital Extremes also adds that they expect this version to catch up with the others in 2019.

This version of Warframe comes with four control layouts - three for the Joy-Cons and the other one for the Pro controller - and all of them have customisable sensitivity. Motion controls are also available courtesy of Panic Button, the studio behind the Doom and Wolfenstein 2 ports.

Connectivity wise, this version will not require you to pay a Nintendo Switch Online membership to play with friends on the internet. Neither uses the mobile app NSO for communication either, as voice chat is built-in. Without any kind of cross-platform or cross-play, it will offer account migration from PC to Switch starting day one and for a limited time frame too.
