This weekend Blizzard released an announcement that this week they will be updating their RTS game, Warcraft III, with Patch 1.27.
The announcement comes only a couple of days after Diablo II was patched for the first time in five years, with that update aimed at improving compatibility with newer operating systems.
The patch was announced by Rob Bridenbecker, who heads up Blizzard's classic games group, via a YouTube video directed at Warcraft III's Chinese community. While the content of the patch is not explained in detail, Bridenbecker mentions that this is only their "first stop" and Blizzard "looks forward to having you on their journey."
The patch will drop on March 15 simultaneously across the globe, almost four years since the last update.
