Asobo Studio's Microsoft Flight Simulator has been catching attention due to the level of detail it's incorporating into the flying experience, and during a recent interview with Der Standard (thanks, AVSIM), head of Microsoft Flight Simulator Jörg Neumann said that VR is important to them as well.
"Very high! Asobo and I have years of experience with VR," he said when asked about it. "We know what a lame-word not allowed and a good implementation look like. We want to find a good solution, for example by cutting the cockpit off from the rest of the world. Then you can move around freely and the world in the background doesn't start to shimmer. We already started with VR, but we want to do it right."
Not too long ago Microsoft Flight Simulator's aerodynamic systems were detailed, and this just goes to show the attention that's going into each system that appears in the game, from weather to scenery and everything in between.
Would you like to experience this in VR?
