The Russian esports organisation Virtus.pro has announced that it will be adopting a real bear. The team, which uses a bear as its mascot has shouldered the responsibility of financially supporting a bear named Alladin who is currently residing at the Moscow zoo after having a tough life in the wild.

"A lot of animals in the zoos have suffered from human cruelty in the past," said Sergey Glamazda, CEO of Virtus.pro in a press release. "Apart from their main function of saving the population of rare and endangered species, zoos also help the animals harmed in the wild. We initiate and support charity campaigns on a regular basis and this time we decided to pay attention to the animal's problems by taking into care our club's mascot — a bear."

All of Alladin's expenses will now be covered by Virtus.pro, ensuring that the bear receives a happy and pleasant life. Since Alladin is currently heading into hibernation, the team has yet to get to know their new real-life mascot, however, they have released a photo of Alladin, which you can find below.
