Variable State's Virginia has got a lot of publicity recently due to its unique demo but a new trailer released yesterday shows a bit more of the game.

"Virginia's cinematic inspirations extend to its genre-bending story," publisher 505 Games said. "Virginia's drama evokes the ambiguous storytelling of David Lynch, the unforgettable characters of Silence of the Lambs and the striking art direction of Dario Argento" and "rides a wave of renewed interest in science fiction and horror shows of the 1990s, sitting amongst recently-returned classics such as Twin Peaks and The X-Files and enthusiastically-received new arrivals such as the critically acclaimed Stranger Things."

Virginia is due for release on September 22 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

REVIEW. Written by Mike Holmes

"This a strange, obscure and challenging piece of interactive entertainment, but at the same time it's also intriguing, thoughtful and full of heart."
