PlayStation Studios has stepped away from its publishing role for the game.
"Hello everyone and welcome back to another GRTV News. Today we're going to be talking about a bit of information that broke overnight. It is in relation to one of Hideo Kojima's upcoming projects, namely Fizzint. Now Fizzint is a game that we haven't really seen much about. It was announced Context or they look to find an additional party. And it turns out they've already done the latter. And they've signed, well, they've signed up with PlayStation's closest competitor, namely, Xbox. So yeah, Fizzint is now set to be published by Xbox Game Studios, and we have a little bit more information on that from... So yeah, Xbox Game Studios to publish Kojima Productions' Fizzint. PlayStation Studios had previously been listed as the publisher of Kojima's SB&R striller, but Xbox Game Studios has apparently now taken over. Xbox Game Studios has announced it will expand its partnership with Kojima Productions beyond OD and publish the action espionage thriller Fizzint. The game has previously been closely associated with PlayStation Studios but they now appear to be out of the picture once again. What this will mean for the unannounced PlayStation 5 version of the game remains unknown. As Xbox CEO Ashish Sharma explained, creators have choices about where and how they will bring their ideas to life. We're honoured that Kojima-san has chosen Xbox to work with Kojima Productions and Physint. His ambition to challenge conventions reflects the kind of creativity we want to support at Xbox. In addition to their work on Odi and now Fizzint, Xbox Game Studios and Kojima Productions will also collaborate on film projects and TV series to bring new stories to broader audiences. And what do you think, or what do you make of this rather surprising development surrounding Fizzint? So, I think this brings up a few rather curious things. For one, this announcement has come Context, Context, Context, Context, Context, As confirmed earlier through our official channels, in mid-June of this year, we unexpectedly received notice from PlayStation Studios that it would cancel the Fizzint project. Fizzint is an important project both to me personally and to Kojima Productions. Determined to keep the project alive, we have spent the last three months searching tirelessly for a new partner. In the course of seeking advice and pursuing negotiations with people across many fields, we found in Xbox a partner with whom we share a common vision for the future, and we have decided to team up with them once again. Please rest assured that development of his genre-defining action espionage title is ongoing and will continue forward. So yeah, it's quite interesting that Xbox has quickly worked to snap up Kojima. Over the years we have seen Xbox try and associate itself with Context Context, Context, Context, Context It's been confirmed that Xbox and Kojima are going to be working together, so I just think that the two go hand in hand a little bit there, and maybe we'll have some more information to share about the game next week, but we'll see.
