We spoke with Corsair's PR specialist from the DACH region to learn more about a handful of new products coming from the technology maker, including the Vanguard Pro 96, the Sabre v2 Pro, the Void v2 Max, and even the Novablade Pro.
"Hello everyone and welcome back to Gamereactor. I'm currently here with Stefan in the Corsair booth because, well, you've just been walking us through all the different products that you guys have recently announced and will recently, or very soon, launch.
So tell me a little bit to start with about the new headset and what makes it so special."
"Sure. First of all, thank you for coming over. We have brought the new Void v2 Max wireless, which is basically an upgraded version of our recently released Void v2 wireless.
It just brings you also Bluetooth and wireless simultaneously connection, which is the difference to the previous version where you had to decide you go in with Bluetooth or you go with wireless.
So it's an upgraded version. It also gives you sound ID. Sound ID is a hearing test, I would say, where you just say, OK, I like this sound more than the other."
"And it creates you an equalizer profile based on your preferences in the hearing. So if you don't have a clue about equalizers, it makes probably sense to use sound ID.
Another option in the wide portfolio of headsets that you guys offer, which is nice. And then as well, though, you have a new mouse coming out.
Geared at esports pros, a big evolution. One that is, from what I've experienced with it, is almost paper, paper light almost. So tell me a little bit about the Sabre."
"So the new Sabre. So probably some people know our first Sabre. Sabre is our esport mouse series. The shape is a bit different compared to the old one.
So this one is a 36 gram esport mouse with ambidextrous design, up to 70 hours battery life, up to 8K polling.
The dongle is right here. Put it on the mouse pad with a clamp. You have the cable attached there. You just remove it, you put it on charge and you just put it back on the dongle."
"It supports quick charge. And yeah, it's a pretty light gaming mouse.
What more could you want? And then we'll move on from the mouse real quickly and we'll talk briefly about keyboards because you have, again, change of direction a little bit from the K70 to the new line.
And tell me a little bit about what makes this upcoming model so special."
"You mean the Vanguard?
Yes.
So the Vanguard 96, so first of all, we changed the naming. We moved away from K70 series. We now have the product name Vanguard and then we have the size 96.
We brought the new Vanguard Pro 96, yes, and the new Vanguard 96. Exactly. So we got it."
"So the Pro 96 is a Hall Effect keyboard, which have all over the board Hall Effect and they are hot swappable.
So if there's a key broken, you just don't throw away the keyboard. You just buy a new switch, put it into the keyboard and it works immediately.
And the new Vanguard 96 is a traditional mechanical keyboard for that. You don't need adjustable switches, of course."
"On the side, you got macro keys. You can also configure them over the Elgato Stream Deck software.
In the back, you have a cable routing system and you have an LCD screen for adjusting the brightness of your lighting, for example.
The palm rest is also included in the box, which is magnetic. So you can just put it on the keyboard and just lift it up like this."
"I hope it's on the camera.
Yeah, that's the Vanguard 96.
Now, obviously, it's not necessarily your area of expertise, but give us a very brief rundown as a final question about the Nova Blade Pro.
Nova Blade Pro is our first level-less controller for the fighting game scene."
"It's also very interesting with all the fighting games that are in the market.
I didn't know that the market is so big and there are so many games where you actually play with a fighting game stick, fighting games controller.
Our new Nova Blade Pro controller is an official Sony licensed product.
You can use it on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 PC. You can connect it over Bluetooth, wired and wireless."
"You have macro keys on the side. You have also hall effect on the pad.
You can use SOCD features as flash tab. So pretty exciting product.
Well, there you have it. That's Corsair's new lineup.
Again, all of this is, well, by the time you hear this interview, actually, it's probably going to be here."
"So keep an eye out for it. If you're looking for a new mouse, new headphones, new keyboard, a new fighting pad, you know where to find it all on Corsair.
Thank you for listening."
