This small form-factor PC unit is designed to offer high-quality gaming in a body that's a fraction of the size of regular towers.
"Hello everyone and welcome to another Gamereactor quick look.
I am always in favor of taking something that is big and trying to make it as compact as possible because it just opens up the market, opens up use cases to a lot of different consumers out there."
"If they're able to slip things into tighter spaces or if they just live in tighter living quarters, well then they're able to purchase solutions like this, the brand new Asus ROG Nook and be able to game away with less space taken.
I think that's really cool and I think we should applaud it."
"This brand new version is very easy to love as well.
Sure, I still do think that Asus ROG's very, very aggressive styling is becoming a little bit distracting.
I don't like this raised eyebrow logo in general and I do think that some of these cyberpunk as details could be toned down a little bit, mostly because that otherwise it's just a matte black little box and it looks quite stylish in its form."
"It's just that these ROG accents written into the vents is bordering on gaudy.
That being said, it is really compact.
It weighs quite a lot because my guess is that it's really solid inside.
They've really packed it to the brim, but you do get up to an Intel Ultra 9 275 Hertz."
"There are two vapor chambers in here for increased cooling, which isn't relying on that convection of air, but there is also integrated vents inside the design.
It is easy to upgrade and all of it is completely tool-less, so that means thumbscrews all the way around where you can actually swap these things out if you want."
"There are various hardware versions, but there is an RTX 5070 Ti that is €2,670, but you do get up to, and that's crazy, like imagine having an Intel Ultra 9 alongside a RTX 5080, an RTX 5080 version.
That's just absolutely insane."
"It will support up to five 4K displays.
There's an array of ports right here.
So Thunderbolt-based USB Type-C, obviously given the Intel Ultra port, two display ports and two HDMI ports alongside a proprietary barrel connector, Kensington lock right there."
"They've actually managed four USB Type-A ports, which is 10G USB with Ethernet 2.5G as well.
One thing that I would have loved is a little bit more in terms of USB Type-C.
I feel like we've gotten to a point where USB Type-C is just so natural, and yet Asus found four spaces here for USB Type-A and an additional two A ports here at the front."
"That's six.
We don't need six, and there is only two USB Type-C ports.
That seems like a really weird way of deciding how future-proof you want your machine to be, and you would want this to be future-proof, believe me."
"Still very cool.
We will be putting it through its paces, including some much-needed thermal and performance tests, and we'll report back when we have more.
See you on the next one."
