We're accessorising our PS5 with some new samurai-inspired plates/covers.

We spoke to PlayStation a couple of weeks back because it was quite a big deal.
Because while they have been slow to put out actual plates for the PS5, you'll see a lot of them now."
"And this is among the very first that are first party to celebrate the launch of Ghost of Yotai.
The fun thing was that it is actually one of the first first for the PS5 Pro that we have here."
"But even though we requested those, they sent over the regular ones.
But even though we cannot attach them to our office PS5 Pro, I don't think that this should be totally in vain.
So we're going to take a quick look at a way that you can celebrate your love for Ghost of Yotai, which just came out exclusively on PS5 for now."
"Because obviously one of the joys of the PS5 in general is its aesthetic modularity.
It is something that we've talked about in our various videos where we covered the aesthetic dimensions of the PS5.
But also the dbrand dark plates."
"They were actually among the first to put out actual plates that could darken your PS5.
Because obviously like the Pro here, it was white when it came out, a controversial piece of design kit, which could be remedied if you like to matte black everything with those dark plates."
"Sony has since picked up the gauntlet and has pushed out a number of different plates which you can buy at various price points.
But obviously there are now good reason to buy these if you particularly love Ghost of Yotai."
"Now obviously, as you can see, this particular panel here does not come with any particular piece of design standoutery, but this already does.
This little logo here, already in this rugged nature coloring way.
But it is obviously the painting that becomes the core aesthetic thesis of this piece."
"And you can see it right here.
And what perhaps isn't something that is easy to show on camera, is that this is, well, I would think, Yotai Mountain, which not only is part of the name and the region, but also plays a pivotal role in the actual story."
"And it also seems like this could be a map.
But what does not come off clear on camera is that this isn't just painted on, meaning that the plastic surface of the plate takes the color.
This is layered on top, meaning that it has texture when you move your hand across it."
"It is definitely not something that, at least to the naked eye, feels like it was cheap to do.
So we're going to see if the map actually carries on here.
It should be said that there are two types of plates here."
"You can see that there are five total pieces.
And that is because you get to choose whether or not you want the disc drive one or not.
If you own a PS5 Slim, you obviously have detachable disc drive, meaning that you can take it off, you can take it on, whatever it is that you want, which you can with a regular PS5 as well."
"Here it continues below, and you can see here that it is a striking imagery, showing what appears to be a map, or at the very least, these golden lines forming Yotai Mountain at the very top.
It looks quite fantastic."
"Another thing that maybe isn't picking up great on camera is that there is actually a 3D effect, because as I said, this has texture, it is layered on top of the white plastic, but conversely, these little figures here are indents, meaning they are engraved in the plastic."
"So you have something that digs in, and you have something which is protruding from.
That is really cool indeed.
So these plates, like any other plates, are, well, it should be said that it might be very difficult to get one, because as far as I can tell, these are limited edition, as with the controller that we'll take a look at in just a little bit."
"But overall, very nice, and if you were to celebrate Ghost of Yotai, this is undoubtedly a good way to do it.
