GRTV News - Kojima Productions celebrates 10 years with "Beyond the Strand" anniversary event

Does Kojima have any major surprises in store?

"Without further ado though today we're talking Kojima Productions and it's special 10th anniversary event, I know it feels weird that Kojima Productions has been around for 10 years, 10 years since the release of Metal Gear Solid 5, 10 years since Kojima was officially departed from Konami and 10 years since he started his own company and started work on Death Stranding."

"Now we're going to be seeing a Beyond the Strand event which again points to sort of Death Stranding being a centrepiece of this event on the 23rd of September which is just two days before Tokyo Game Show kicks off later this month, we're not sure exactly what this event is going to hold in terms of will we see game reveals, will we see trailers anything like that but there are promises of special guests because it's Kojima so he always has some celebrities that he can call up and get involved in these things."

"There's also probably going to be some stuff about the new games that he's working on, we know that we just saw Death Stranding 2 on the beach release this year so perhaps we'll see something maybe for an update or even DLC about that.
We could also see something on OD and something on Fizzint as well although both of those games seem quite a while away especially Fizzint because I believe in a recent interview Kojima said that he was one of the only people working on that game which means that we're probably not going to see anything for quite some time regarding those two titles."

"Kojima's big Beyond the Strand event is quite exciting because again it shows just how much of an auteur he's sort of become within the video game industry and he is one of the, I would say probably the only person with the power of a name that he has that he can call an event about his own production company and the 10 year celebration of it and just get people excited about that in the first place."

"Whether you love him or you hate him you can't argue with the fact that people watch what Kojima does, what Kojima productions do and they'll be excited to see this as well.
It'll be interesting to see who turns up to this, again OD I believe is in sort of collaboration with Jordan Peele and there's also definitely big celebrity stars in that as well like Hunter Schaefer and Sophia Lillis."

"So again we could see more stuff on that, Fizzin again I would really sort of doubt that that's going to make any sort of major presence but again if this is Beyond the Strand perhaps we don't expect as much Death Stranding or we get some sort of MCU like timeline where Kojima comes out and says in 2028 you'll have this, in 2029 you'll have this, in 2032 you'll have Death Stranding 3 or whatever."

"It's one of those things where you really can't tell until you can tell and so unfortunately I can't say anything about it but I imagine that we will see some sort of tie in as well with Tokyo Game Show considering that that's going to be going on two days later but let me know if you'll be tuning in to this Kojima Productions special 10th anniversary event what you expect to see, what you hope to see and what you think might just be a wild card pick and I'll see you tomorrow for some more JLTV news, goodbye."
