"Hello everyone and welcome to another Gamereactor Quick Look. This time we're taking a look at one of my favorite consumer electronics, if you could call it consumer, but electronics manufacturers that are working in the business today, Teenage Engineering. And you might know Teenage Engineering, I've said that in every single video that we've done with them, as designers of other things because they are often pulled in as consultants because they just know so much about how to make electronics attractive. And for instance they did their magic on that little orange Rabbit R1. The product itself was a huge failure but no one argued with the quality of the looks. They know design so well and construction and that very much translates directly into their own products as well. Now not too long ago we took a look at their field recorder which was something that, at least personally for me, was something that I really really enjoyed and I've spent a lot of time using it to record my own thoughts, my own work related thoughts as well as personal ones. And this, another product that they make which kind of feels like it's in the same ballpark as that field recorder, well this would also come in handy for people working professionally in our fields. But as people here have also suggested just before we started rolling, if you have like an on-the-go podcast this is an incredible powerful little tool. So the thing is that you look at this and you think immediately I want that. You don't even know what it is yet but you want it and that is the power of Teenage Engineering's design chops. This is the TX6. It is a battery-powered mixer and multi-channel audio interface which lasts around eight hours on one charge which is then recharged through USB type C. You flip this open right here and the little panel there, monochrome panel which is incredibly bright as well, springs into life. And once you know that it's a mixer maybe some of all of this stuff now starts to make sense. Because these are mute buttons, there are individual level toggles right here where there is a value placed on each and every one of them so you know what is up. There are different tweaking dials here which ultimately with you listening in on the entire thing through a headset will give you six stereo channels here. There's also TempoSync and MFI compatibility with iOS. There is Bluetooth LE compatibility meaning that you can use wireless microphones or audio sources as well as stuff that is hardwired into it through one of the six stereo jacks. And as I said there is everything that you need here. There is even synthesizer functions. There is four oscillator waveforms which again will give it the power of a basic synthesizer. And again there isn't really one standout feature that this has that your basic mixer does not have but your basic mixer cannot be in your pocket and it won't last eight hours on a charge so that means that you can both mix and hear and get proper audio feedback when you're recording in the wild in every freaking scenario. And obviously it's wrapped in all of the goodness that we know teenage engineering to be able to produce. There is this really nice sumptuous black leather back here like the orange one on the field recorder but all of the other stuff is CNC aluminum build with 2k molding. It is absolutely gorgeous to hold. I don't have the exact weight in grams but I can tell you that this is like I have my phone here. This is half the iPhone 16 I would say there or thereabouts. And again imagine for the right person the amount of functionality that there is in this little box. I think that's absolutely gorgeous and if this is anything like the field recorder it'll also be incredibly functional and deliberate."
