Ubisoft's troubled pirating game seems to be landing in early 2024.
"Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of GRTV news. Today we're going to be talking about something which is kind of baffling that we're still talking about it at this point because it's a game that's been in development for years at this point and it's had countless delays, literally countless delays and well we actually don't know when it's coming out right now but a new report has come out that has suggested a specific sort of time period and it's closer than you might expect and that very game is Skull and Bones. Now Ubisoft again hasn't put out anything official in regard to this title yet but the report suggests it's going to be coming before the end of this current fiscal year and it's going to be coming right at the start of 2024 so with that being the case let's dive on in. Skull and Bones will reportedly launch in February, Ubisoft desperately wants to get it out before April. Ubisoft Singapore has kind of learned their lesson so they've been fairly vague about Skull and Bones' release date the last year. The French publisher settled with saying the Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag inspired game would launch this fiscal year before specifying it was set to arrive sometime between the 1st of January and the 1st of April one month ago. Prince of Persia The Lost Crown is coming in January and some of us believe Ubisoft wants to avoid having those two games too close together while also getting it out the door in good time before the fiscal year ends so a launch in mid-February seemed very likely. That's apparently spot on. Tom Henderson's Insider Gaming reports that Skull and Bones is set to launch on the 16th of February 2024. It basically has a spotless track record when it comes to Ubisoft's plans so expect an official announcement shortly. Now as for where this or when this announcement could be coming it's not mentioned so you know maybe we're looking at something to do with the Game Awards maybe Ubisoft plans just putting the release date out there and just saying yep it's going to finally arrive at some point. Either way it's going to be interesting because this is a game that we've seen so many different times in so many different iterations and so many different times those iterations have sort of underwhelmed and caused the game to return to development and be adjusted. Now that happened again recently and we haven't seen the game since the Ubisoft forward in June but I can't imagine the game has changed all too much since the last time it was delayed so I wouldn't expect to see a Skull and Bones that is vastly different and a massive should we say improvement on what we've seen beforehand but if you've been looking for a pirate adventure it looks like Skull and Bones is on the horizon."
"Again we'll know more soon but February 16th 2024 is coming up and it means that you know you can be kicking off the new year with some some pirating goodness. The quality of it will tell you more about it when we get our hands on the game in early 2024 but yes it looks like it's on its way. But yeah that's all the time we have on today's episode of GRTV News. Let us know in the comments below what you think of Skull and Bones. Are you excited for this game or do you think it's one that Ubisoft should have you know essentially just swapped under the rug a bit. But yeah let us know and otherwise we'll see you on tomorrow's GRTV News when we explore no doubt something equally interesting. So until then hope you enjoy the rest of your Wednesday and we'll see you on the next one. Take care everyone."
