"Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of GRTV News.
It's slightly later than usual today, but regardless, we're going to be talking about the big news that came sort of late yesterday evening, which was that the Game Awards nominees are out."

"We officially know who has been nominated for all the various different categories.
I think there's actually over 30 categories.
And well, what we do know is that Alan Wake 2 and Baldur's Gate 3 leads the pack with the most nominations.
So with that being the case, let's dive on it."

"The Game Awards nominations revealed Alan Wake 2 and Baldur's Gate 3 lead the way, but The Legend of Zelda, Tears of the Kingdom, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Resident Evil 4 and Super Mario Brothers Wonder aren't far behind.
2023 has been one of the best years in gaming, so there are many different opinions about what the actual best game has been.
This includes those of us who work in the industry, especially because the Game Awards is around the corner and we in Game Reactor are a part of the jury."

"This has highlighted how difficult it is even to predict who the five, sometimes six games nominated in each category are.
Now we don't have to theorise anymore.
Geoff Keighley and crew have revealed all of the nominees for the Game Awards and Alan Wake 2 and Baldur's Gate 3 lead the way with eight nominations each, including the biggest one.
The winners will be revealed when the show starts on the 7th of December, American time, the 8th of December for those of us around these parts."

"So tune in then for news about that and the many reveals and announcements that will happen during the Game Awards.
And here's the entire list of TGA nominations.
Now, the list is very extensive, so all I'm going to talk about here is the Game of the Year bit, because if you want to read the full nominees list, if you want to look at the game direction below, you can find the news piece and look at it in full there, because otherwise we'll be here for about 10 minutes going through all of these different things."

"But yes, Game of the Year, Alan Wake 2, Baldur's Gate 3, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Resident Evil 4, Super Mario Brothers Wonder, The Legend of Zelda, Tears of the Kingdom.
And yes, a little bit of teaser below there, best game direction, Alan Wake 2 and Baldur's Gate 3 are also in that category as well.
Yes, so that's a good sort of glimpse into what the nominees are going to be like or are like, should we say."

"Alan Wake 2 and Baldur's Gate 3 are two games that we expected, along with Tears of the Kingdom, The Legend of Zelda, Tears of the Kingdom, to be up there and getting a lot of nominations and votes.
And they did. There's a few interesting, notable missing games, should we say, including Starfield.
Starfield is one of those games that's not really in there at all."

"In fact, I'm not actually too sure, but I don't think there's many, or if any, Xbox first party games got nominees this, got nominated this year.
So you can see that Xbox, despite a very successful launch for Starfield, making it a massively, you know, hugely played game, it hasn't exactly landed in this hugely acclaimed year that we've had.
But yes, as Eric puts in the news piece there, the Game Awards is taking place on the morning of the 8th of December for us, very early in the morning, literally just as it ticks over to midnight is basically when the show starts."

"So if you want to know who wins all these different awards, you want to see all the different announcements and whatnot, you can tune in to the Game Awards where we'll be covering extensively, as per usual, for all of that information and more.
But yes, that's all the time we have in today's episode of GRTV News.
We're back now tomorrow for the next one of the week. So until then, I hope you enjoy the rest of your Tuesday."

"And yeah, see you on the other side. Take care, everyone."
