"Hello everyone and welcome to a brand new Gamereactor Gamescom Impressions video in which today we're going to talk about a game that we obviously discovered at Gamescom 2023 but we're going to talk about a game that it's been already released okay but it was released a couple of days ago and well we didn't want to miss the opportunity to talk about it because well we played it and we discovered it as I've said at Gamescom 2023 and well we wanted to share as always our very own opinion and impressions about it before you decide if you're interested or not in the game okay we just wanted to share our very own opinion and that's what we are going to do today here."
"I think this is the first VR game that I've not ever tried okay but that the first VR game that I tried at Gamescom in general and it was a super cool experience I have to say it it was weird because I'm not used to play VR games but it was a well different experience and well and that's why we're going to talk about this game about Project Wingman Frontline 59 okay basically it's an aerial combat flight action game okay in which well we're going to put in the pilot seat of a war ravaged Earth okay and we're going to drive some fighter jets and well proof that we have what it takes to become a true ace okay what we're going to do is just basically literally put in the pilot seat okay and well uh defeat our enemies and clear this aerial space from our enemies to well try to bring peace obviously to this war ravaged Earth and how are we going to do it well it's it's it's interesting uh in my opinion in my very own experience and as I've said before I'm not used to play VR games so it was a little bit challenging and difficult to get used to the controls um and also because you have to well you have to control the the well the um I don't know how to say it the the it's not a plane the the fighter jets sorry you have to control these uh advanced fighter jets and the controls are pretty easy but as you're watching everywhere literally watching everywhere uh you have to move uh the the fighter jet you have to well um fix the camera in different in the enemy's fighter jets and and you have to shoot but they're they're going super fast and you're going super fast also it's a little bit it's it's a different experience okay um and you have to get used to it maybe if you've played other VR uh flight action games uh it can be easier for you but in my opinion it was a little bit challenging and difficult to get used to it but at the same time as I I say this I have to say that once you get used more or less uh to control the the jet and once you're used to the controls in general and to the VR experience in general it's a cool experience because you know then when to shoot to your enemies you know then how to move and when to move and where to go so I don't know it's it's like a kind of satisfying experience once you get used to it even though as I've said it's a little bit challenging but um I think it's part of the game and it's part of the experience of course they don't want you to just sit in there and and smash every button and and just destroy everything without nonsense of course they want you to experience what uh being a fighter jet pilot is and and I think they they really achieve that and well in terms of the game itself we have a a solo campaign okay I don't think the game has co-op okay um so we have this solo campaign in which we'll have different uh missions etc and this time we'll find six all new and exclusive VR missions okay uh with this virtual reality um version of the game we'll find six all new missions just focused on this uh VR version of the game and well of course um they they had to add these um virtual reality focus missions because everything's so focused on the gameplay as I've said they really want you to feel like you're a real pilot they really want to make you feel like you're inside the game which I think they achieve perfectly because I felt like I was so in the game I forgot that I was at Gamescom I forgot that I was with with part of the developers no in there I just tried out the game and and probably uh I don't know doing weird things and then looking around like I was crazy or something I forget about all that because I was so focused on just shooting down my enemies and and I was too focused on that and I think they've done it pretty pretty well just because of that of course it's all based on uh all the gameplays sorry all the gameplay is focused on these maneuvers on on positioning your jet on on pure flight skills okay uh which if you enjoy you're going to really really have fun playing the game in general I would say that it was a pretty good game for uh well for aerial combat lovers okay uh for those people that just like uh to feel like a pilot like I've said to those people that really like VR games because I think they've done it pretty well in terms of graphics or whatever we can't say that it's like super detailed or that you can actually pay attention to all those details that are maybe there but everything happens so fast and as I've said you're just focused on um well controlling your jet on positioning on shooting on paying attention where the enemies are etc and you're just going to focus on that so in terms of um environment or details or graphics itself maybe I think this time it's not that important even though um we have different uh environments we have different super different between um each other uh maps and levels etc so of course we're going to enjoy the views and that's part of the game also we're going to enjoy the views we're going to um realize that we're in different places and and that's it we're going to enjoy the entire experience but don't expect like a super detailed uh graphic things even though there are going to be cool and realistic more or less environments which are going to well improve the experience of the game keeping in mind that it's all focused on on vr no and all focus on make you feel like you're inside the game and also uh well we we can we can enjoy a conquest mode okay a brand new uh game mode well I don't know if it's exactly a brand new game mode or if it was in the base version but uh in this vr version you can also play this conquest mode which is basically fight against hordes of enemies and ace squadrons and powerful bosses in a custom-enabled territory capture game mode okay and they're going to add some elements from roguelikes rpgs etc I don't remember if I tried this game mode I don't think so I I think I had enough of just trying to get used to the controls and to the game itself etc so uh well I don't think I've tried it out but as I've said if you actually get used to the controls if you like the game if you like the theme etc there are several game modes there are several new missions there are several new maps and there are a lot of things that you can enjoy in this um in this version okay um I don't know and and I think that could be it in general what do we think about the game I think that it's a game focused on people that really likes vr experiences okay but if you like it and if you like this kind of flight action games you're going to really really enjoy it it's all focused on these action games okay it's all focused on action on on having super fast fights on having uh fast reflexes on on just enjoying the flight enjoying the battle and enjoying the views and just focusing on that and I can assure you that uh you're going to forget about what's around you in real life and you're just going to focus in the game and I think that's a really really difficult to do so uh a really really difficult thing to do okay sorry um so I would say it was a really cool game uh a little bit overwhelming for me because as I've said I'm not I'm not used to play vr games uh but at the very end it was satisfying it was cool and it was a different experience and I enjoyed it too so there you have it in case that you um like this kind of games uh you'll probably like this one Project Winmont uh Frontline 59 okay Project Winmont VR game which was released this 3rd october 2023 on playstation 5 okay and a game that it's been developed by sector d2 and published by humble games so there you have it I hope you've enjoyed my very own opinion my description of the game and my very own experience and impressions uh maybe they're not too deep or they're not too extense or I don't know too detailed because as I've said I'm not used to this kind of game so I can just give you my very own experience but I hope that
