"Hello everyone, and welcome to a brand new Gamereactor Gamescom Impressions video.
I still don't know how to call them, and I think I'm going to start every video just like this."

"But hello, welcome.
Today we're going to talk about Talos Principle 2, one of the games that I checked out at Gamescom, of course, Gamescom 2023.
And well, just for you to know, Talos Principle 2 is a thought-provoking first-person puzzle experience that greatly expands on the first game's philosophical themes and stunning environments."

"And well, in case that you haven't played the first game or don't know what the theme of the series is, basically the main story is based around the fact that humanity disappeared because of a virus that they accidentally let out.
So robots became the successors of humans, and this raises different philosophical questions such as, can we consider that robots are living beings?
Can they really supplant humanity and its cognitive and creative capacities?
These are, broadly speaking, the main questions raised in the first title."

"And this sequel is not going to be different, of course.
Everything starts in this sequel 100 years after the events of the first title, as I've said.
The robot society celebrates the fact that they have reached the number of 100 robots too, and this is a very important moment for this robot society, as they begin to realize that they're growing, and at the same time, they have a limit, as they're not supposed to be able to create new robots or being more robots than 100, and if they cannot create that new technology with the mentality that the robots of this society have, what do they have?
And moreover, as they grow both in quantity and in knowledge, they start to worry that they might make the same mistakes as humans."

"So once again, they start to ask themselves some very interesting philosophical questions.
And not only that, but we will also have the appearance of a mysterious being who will turn all these questions and everything that we consider to be true and immovable upside down."

"And that will present us many more questions and many more puzzles to solve, obviously.
In general, I would say that this new title invites us to just consider whether the integrity and well-being of an individual is more important than the ones of an entire society, as now we are a robot society, we have these kind of philosophical questions about individualism, about society, etc."

"And all these accompanied by much more exploration in the game, much more complex puzzles, and much more depth in the story and its continuity.
In fact, we will find more than one reference to certain puzzles from the first game and certain iconic locations from the first game also, just to show up that robots have their own past and history to already, because time has passed, they've evolved, and now they have their own past."

"And I don't know, I found that really interesting.
But well, back to the story, the background and this new stage of our robotic society, all this progress will encourage us to explore our environment much more.
All this will encourage us to talk to the members of our new society to just know their opinions, their concerns, and in general, to know better a new world and that which may be presented to us in a mysterious way, but well, I will say no more."

"So in this new game, we will notice that we've advanced in many ways, in the story of the game as a society, but also in terms of gameplay, now talking about the game itself, as they added, for example, new mechanics.
Actually, the members of the development team have already told us that this time they have made solving these puzzles much more satisfying and much less frustrating than in the first title."

"Now we will be able to undo our moves so that we don't have to start from scratch if we have done something wrong, just like it happened in the first title, and then take advantage of these new mechanics that have been introduced in the game, such as teleportation of objects.
Basically, what they wanted with this new release and with this new sequel was to offer a much deeper, open, but also accessible adventure for the player."

"Actually, the game will reward you if you decide to explore and delve further into the universe of these robots, because, for example, if you decide to just talk to different robots in the society, explore and find certain collectibles, you may find a pleasant surprise at the end of the title."

"In other words, the final of the story may change if you decide to take a deeper interest in the story.
So it just depends on you.
It just depends if you want to know more about the story or if you just want to focus on the puzzles and that's it."

"You have several options.
But finally, I would like to highlight the art in this new title, as it is more than obvious that the graphic quality has improved a lot and they have focused much more on creating a unique, fresh and interesting environment."

"This time, each area will have different buildings with unique structures that will bring a fresh feeling to the player every time he wants to solve a puzzle.
So keep that in mind, because if you decide to skip a puzzle, I think that you can now, you might miss some of this wonderful infrastructure that they have decided to create in every area."

"So as I've said, and as you see, depending on if you want to explore and give it a check to everything in the game, or if you just want to focus on the main story without keeping in mind if the end could be different or not, you can play in a way or in another way.
So it all depends on you and the way that you want to play this game."

"And I think that's actually really cool.
So if you like the first game, you will probably love this sequel.
It is a renewed, fresh and much more accessible version than the first one.
And it's a version that will delve much deeper into the philosophical questions and in which it will focus on the world in which our beloved robotic society lives."

"So if you just, well, if you just expected a much modern version of the first title, if you just wanted better puzzles, if you just wanted to keep going with these philosophical and moral questions, just congratulations.
That's what you're going to get."

"OK, so, well, I hope that you have now a better idea of what to expect with this title.
And in case that you just want to solve puzzles or you just want to focus on the story, now you know what to expect.
And now you know that you can just play both styles, just focusing on puzzle solving or just focusing on the story, skipping those tricky puzzles that sometimes just got us stuck a little bit, no?
So, well, stay tuned because you'll receive really soon news about this title because they pretend to release the title later this year."

"So stay tuned, pay attention and expect news really soon about the title and the release and enjoy it.
I hope that you've enjoyed this introduction, this impressions video, this all I get to know at Gamescom video."

"And, well, just give it a try.
And if you give it a try once it's released, just let me know what you think about it.
I don't know.
Just as I've played a little bit, I wanted to know your opinion, too."

"So thank you so much for being here.
See you in the next Game Reactor Gamescom Impressions video.
And that's it for today.
Have fun, take care and see you in the next video."

"Bye bye!"
